The BWPDA operates a strict code of practice which all members have to abide
by and ensures highly trained surveyors and technicians carry out works to a high
degree of professionalism but, more importantly, only when and to areas where
treatment is necessary.
All members are subject to regular inspections and audits of technical and administration
systems by a technical officer employed by the BWPDA. |

All on-site repair and strengthening of many faults including timber splicing,
cracking and masonry stitching. This type of repair is especially suited to historic
and listed buildings as this method is employed in instances where the bearing
ends of supporting beams and trusses have become defective due to rot and insect
attack. This method is far more cost effective than replacing large dimension
timbers and can be carried out in-situ again reducing costs. |
